Eve was the first woman.  Her name, given to her by Adam, meant life or living. She violated the commandment of God by taking of the forbidden fruit, which she gave also unto her husband.
Abigail was the sister of David.
Deborah was a judge and prophetess.
Lydia was the first person in Europe to embrace Christianity.
Miriam, Deborah, Huldah and Anna are the only women who have the title “prophetess”.
The Bible demands that widows be treated with kindness.
